Please Do:
- arrive on time
- come well hydrated
- take it easy your first few classes
- tell the teachers of any recent injuries or medical problems
- always use a mat and towel
- have an open mind : )
- pace yourself
- kneel down, take a break, sip water when needed
- plan on staying the entire 90 minutes
- breathe slowly, in and out through your nose
Please Don't
- compete (yoga is non-competitive)
- talk during class
- eat approximately 1 ½-2 hours before class
- use lotions or perfumes prior to class (shower before if needed or if you smell like smoke or perfume)
- gulp water during class (sipping better)
- leave the room unless an emergency (kneeling or laying down helps you to feel better quickly)
- wipe your sweat…you don’t want to push the toxins back into your pores
- leave tissues on the floor (if you blow your nose please keep tissues on your mat)
- worry if you feel bad during class, just take a break, its part of the detox process as a beginner and passes quickly
